The use of an aftermarket stock immediately places you in Open Class. The cost of a T1X plus the KRG is not that far off from a B14R barreled action plus KRG. The Tikka is very nice, but is a light rifle., For target shooting, I'd just grab one as inexpensively as possible. Either a Varmint model or the MTR, since it's your plan to change the stock anyway. Cheapest way possible into the CZ world., I have a T1X and a Bergara B14R ( sold my CZ 455 Varmint after getting the B14R) I changed the Bergara trigger to a Trigger Tech Diamond, Both guns shoot about the same, sub moa out to 200yds. the B14R handles the best, it weights 12.5 lb with bi-pod, the T1X is 9.5 lb. I am thinking about adding a KRG Bravo to add some weight., In the running are: CZ MTR, CZ Precison Trainer, CZ Varmint, or possibly a Bergara BMR or B14R. I'm kind of leaning to CZ because of the aftermarket items available and the ability to switch out barrels easily. I would like to use my suppressor and I see that CZ's threaded barrels are 16.5" but the Bergara is 18". I would really prefer ..., Reliable feeding and ejection. There are really only a handful of 22LR bolt action rifles on the market to begin with, so my list narrowed down quickly. The main contenders were the CZ 457, Tikka T1x, Ruger American Rimfire, Ruger Precision Rimfire, Savage Mark II, and a Bergara B14r barreled action., CZ, Tikka and more recently Bergara seem to be the most popular rifles I see at our ARA matches. I've owned all three brands and my recently acquired B14R is the best shooter of them all. The bolt isn't as smooth as a CZ 457 but I can deal with that. My B14R shot a 2500 at its first match. Have been wanting one since they first came on the rimfire scene in 2020. Very impressed by the quality for a factory rifle! I really like the features and flexibility to swap triggers, stocks, scope mounts etc down the road as needed.
