Factory reset google doorbell

Bought a home with a google hello doorbell, and tried to factory reset it to add it to my network. I have tried over 6 times, pushing the reset button down for 10 seconds and then letting go. When I push the buttons the light goes off. Then it doesn't come back on until I release. Eventually it turns back to blue.
