You can pull down the overhead console and remove the interior security module. It pops out of the plastic tabs easily. It will set a DTC but it will not set a CEL. It is the blue module below:, Next, put the key into the ignition (do not turn it) and press the unlock button on your vehicle’s fob, holding it there. While holding the unlock button, switch the ignition to turn on, off, on, and off again. Release your hold on the unlock button. At this point, the anti-theft system should deactivate, allowing you to start the car.
