I had a 629 in 6" a long time back and traded it for a 4" to carry.This allowed more metal in the frame and cylinder without increasing the overall weight. I have a blued 4" Security-Six (half lug) and a Stainless 4" GP100 (full lug). The GP100 weighs 39 oz, the Security-Six weighs 38 oz.
